Michael is a Worship Leader at Essential Church. From the time we visited in October 2011 we new that this is where God wanted us to be. Our church is like one BIG FAMILY, I'm serious, they are the sweetest people who are there for anyone and everyone. Because everyone is ESSENTIAL.
I'm one of the 3 & 4 year old preschool teachers and they are such a blessing. And we can have up to 20+ kids!. Along with me teaching and Michael singing we also help with youth, middle school youth to be exact! I have my lovelies and he has his dudes haha but they are all on fire for God.
Our church does beach Sundays were people have the chance to get baptized in the OCEAN!, How cool is that? We participate in parades and festivals as well. We have worship service on Sundays, 2 services to be exact, and Small groups throughout the week.
Our staff members and their families are awesome and we love them all!
We recently lost a dear friend and key part of Essential back in July. We know she's in heaven with God but our selfish selfs still wish she was here and we miss her everyday. But her radiant smile and beautiful personality will forever live within us.
[Please keeps our preacher and our church in your prayers, because even though we are still struggling with loss, we know that God is in control.]

My goal for this blog was to start it right after Michael and I got married but life has been pretty crazy these past 6months! We got MARRIED!<3 ,We went on the most awesome honeymoon, we moved me into the apartment, we were part of our BESTIES wedding, we got jobs, we went through the hassle of getting Roxx registered in Virginia (over 200$ of shots + 7$Reg Fee. gesh.), We watched a Blue Angels show, We had lunch on a Pier, Michael played in a parade and I walked in it!, We watched the sunset over the ocean at Cape Charles, Michaels truck got towed due to an over due sticker (I warned him), My car got broken in to and we had to get my window AND radio replaced, we bought plants for our balcony, we went camp with our middle schoolers, we went ice skating, I finally went to the pool after 4months of living here, my car got towed because I didn't have a parking sticker (thats a long story), we had a beach Sunday, We lost a great friend [RIP Melissa Swisher], Michael went surfing, We experienced a Paddle Out, We tried Sushi, Michael got a MAC Book whaaattt, We went to Norfolk and toured the USS Wisconsin, We road on a Ferry, and we've only been to the beach...5times. And thats 6months in a nut shell(: ,well most of it. haha.
Its been almost a year since Michael and I started to look for his dream job. And if you would have told us then that we would be here now we probably would have laughed in your face(: We love it here! We live about 10minutes from the oceanfront, 5minutes from TownCenter and about 8minutes from the church. Its kinda funny though both of us work 25+minutes from our jobs haha. I'm a nanny and I have a fun job unlike you:P haha. Michael is not only a worship leader but he also works as a cook at Chilis. The restaurant that has sucked away all of my husbands free time!, lame-ohs (haha @Ashley Brannon).
So I feel like this blog post is turning into a jumbled mess. The moral of this particular entry was to inform you of our upcoming and exciting blog of "Our New Journey". So subscribe to it, if your awesome and if you want to keep up with the ins and outs of our journey. If you don't have a blog, well then just add it to your favorites I guess.
Much Love,
