Its Official, We Are Hurricanes.

Everyone knows August is not only MY BIRTHDAY month or even the kickoff to football, but its also the start of Hurricane Season. On August 30, 2012 the second tropical storm was named "Leslie". My Aunt text me as soon as she found out (Thanks Aunt Tammara_haha). And I was a little excited, not for the fact that this could be a potentially dangerous Hurricane one day but that one was finally named my name!!
Yesterday, September 4, 2012 they officially name tropical storm number 3; MICHAEL. What are the odds!? Not only is it funny that the one in September, Michaels Birthday Month, is named Michael but that two storms out at sea right now side by side as we speak are named: Leslie AND Michael. haha. Leslie is now a hurricane and Michael isn't too far behind.
Anyone who knows Michael and I's family situation this past year may also find this as humorous as we did.

But in all seriousness, I truely hope these two storms don't do much damage! And wanted to post this so we'll always remember haha.

Much Love!<3
Leslie.

Thursday Michael and I had coffee dates! I had one with my mom and he had one with an old pastor, Chris Causey. My mom introduced me to the "Mocha Almond Latte"from dunkin  donut and I'm in love with it!<3 plus I had a donut with vanilla icing and sprinkles! Looked very much like a birthday cake!;) After our coffee date Momma and I took a girls trip to target where we tried on silly glasses and I convenced her to buy a wallet;) haha because thats what I do best.

After my girl trip with my mom, Michael and I went to the mall! And I got me a Gamecock football jersey for my birthday! which I've ALWAYS wanted:) Then we had lunch with Mike and JoAnn! We revisited momma and reggie and then stopped by Aunt Wanda & Uncle Rogers house for a small family visit!  After all our visits were over we had a cookout at the besties house! We had dinner with Ashley, Wayne and her parents and watched the Gamecock footballl game!! Even though they could've played wayyyy better, I'm still glad they won:) After we left our besties house and said our goodbyes:( we went and got sonic! because I really wanted a strawberry cream slush:), i'm addicted. haha

Wednesday in our Home Town 8.29.12

Day 6! We ate Zaxbys for lunch! Oh how we've missed it! haha. After we ate we went and took another visit to my sisters house! I just couldnt NOT see them one more time before I had to leave on Friday. So this time I brought Michael like Mallory had requested;) This time Mason was a lot more playful. We all shared laughs and giggles. They "cheerleaded" for me haha. We played "pretend", we took more silly pictures and done more silly hair dos. haha. I absolutely love their laughs, hugs and love. Their is NOTHING like the love of a niece or nephew!

When it came time to go, I had to fight back tears. But with all the hugs, kisses and bye I'll miss you's I made i through the goodbyes. After my lovely visit with my loves we went and visited our Old Church Taylors First Baptist and visted with Jason and Rachel Hodges! Which is the preacher who married us and one of the couples we went to Prague with.
After our Church visit we had dinner at Aunt Cathy's house with Cathy, Catlin and Gerald.!

So once again another day spent with important people in our life!

Day 5 was a day to see some family and get our much needed hair cuts! haha.
Our first stop was at my Grandma & Grandpa Stokes House, then we went and saw my Aunt Tammara & Cousins KyLeigh & Emily:) There's one thing that is important to Michael and I and that is family! so it was ultra important to see as many family members as we could:!

After our visits we had dinner with my mom & Reggie and El Jalisco! Which if you know Michael you know that is his FAVORITE restaurant on the PLANTET;) So he was super stoked hehe. After quesadillas, cheese dip, chimichangas and tacos we went and spent a little time with momma and reggie at their house. When we left there Michael got pulled over ..because he did a "roll and stop." haha. thank the Lord that he only got a warning!!! ;)

Monday we spent the day with Michael Grandparents (Mike & JoAnn). We took a trip up to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure!. Our first stop was in Chimney Rock were we ate lunch at Genny's; which is a restaurant on the river. For those of you who don't know what Chimney Rock is, Well its a mountain with a rock that looks a little bit like a chimney ;)

 Chimney Rock ^

 Lunch on the River^

Once we left lunch, since we've hiked chimney rock before, we decided to take the Lake Lure boat tour of the Lake! Some of you may not know but part of Dirty Dancing was filmed at Lake Lure! So not only is it a beautiful lake with a million dollar mtn view but it also has movie history;)
The stairs from Dirty Dancing! ^

Beautiful View from Lake Lure ^

Once the boat tour was over we took a drive down to Hendersonville and got ice cream!  That night when we got back in town we had dinner with Michael's dad at Carolina 'Ale House!

Mountain Adventure With Besties 8.26.12

Day 3 in SC, We took the Besties (Ashley & Wayne) on a Mountain Adventure! First we went down the scenic road mentioned in my birthday post. Then we took a drive up to Ceaser's Head! On our way up we stopped and seen a waterfall and the water was COLD! haha. Then we stopped at bald rock! Which is a "bald rock" that looks over the towns and mountains! ITs absolutely beautiful!

After Bald Rock we drove on up to Ceaser's Head. It gets its name from a rock that looks like a monkey, named Ceaser ;) It also looks over more towns, mountains, and a small lake.
Also there is a place called "The Devils Kitichen" which is a small tiny space between two rocks that you walk through. Yes it is as crazy as it sounds but soo cool!;)

After our mountain adventure we went to dinner at Copper River Grill, where Michael as always orders the biggest burger! haha. But we had missed our besties so much! and they were a must see especially toward the beginning of the week!!:)

2nd Day Birthday Celebration! 8.25.12

Day two of our SC trip was dedicated to my Birthday! So what did I want to do?.. welll
1.) Go up to the mtns and kayak
2.) Go see Tiffany,  Mckinnley, Mallory & Mason
3.) Have dinner with my Love<3
4.) Go see a movie.

So Michael and I took our road trip up to the mountains. We took the beautiful scenic route (as seen above) up to Table Rock State Park. Before we went kayaking we stopped at Lake Keowee just so we could put our feet in the water!!

We left Lake Keowee and it was time to go Kayaking! I absolutely lovee kayaking! We've only been 3 times but its one of my favorite things! There is nothing like being on the water surrounded by nature! And Table Rock is on of my favorite places to kayak because it has the calmest water and it has a phenomenal view!!

We had our half hour kayak and I was one content Birthday Girl! We got back in to town and it was time to see my LOVES<3 I have missed my neices, nephew and sister so much since being in VA Beach so it was a musttt that I go see them! I had hoped they wouldn't have forgotten about me but I was proven wrong when I had all 3 come running out the door when I got out of the car! I never felt so happy to see them!

After I spent a few hours laughing, playing, doing hair, dancing and taking silly pictures I left to go have dinner with the my amazing hubby! We ate dinner at Brixx Pizza Oven and of course I ordered their yummy hummus! Then we left and saw "Hit and Run" at the Movies! The movie was good, but not as funny as i thought it would be!

More pictures from day2!:

Much Love<3,

My 22nd Birthday 8.24.12

For my birthday we decided to go down to SC a day early. We got in town about 1pm. I wasnt home but an hour and the family drama started, BUT I didnt let it bother me!! We had lunch at the Clock!(: Anyone who knows us knew that we missed the "sweet tea and southern cooking" of the clock. haha! We went to our hotel and plotted out my birthday celebration. Michael took me to Macaroni Grill for my birthday dinner where we splurged and dont regret it! ;) I drew on the table, who wouldnt!? ,well except for Michael haha. But the food was absolutely amazing! We left there and wen't to Frankies Fun Park! Where we played a game of puttputt. We decided not to officially take score which was good because I did horrible!! haha. When we were done I convinced Michael to take me on the double go-cart and it was pretty awesome I must say but I would NEVER drive on by myself!!  After we left Frankies we went to Down Town Greenville! One of my favor places back home, especially the bridge over the Reedy River!
As you can see I forgot to take my camera on my birthday adventure, which is pretty devastating lol but I will always have the memories!;)

Much Love<3,
Leslie!

Trip To The Outerbanks 8.18.12

For our date a few Saturdays ago we decided to go to the Outerbanks of NC! We first took a 45minute ferry from Knotts Island, VA to Currituck, NC. When we arrived in Currituck we decided to drived toward the Outerbanks. On our way there we noticed a lot of people traveling down but not coming back out so it must be a great place to visit;)

We stopped in Kill Devil Hills for lunch. So like we always do, we decided to eat some where local not something we could just eat anywhere. So we stop at "Jolly Roger" a intown Seafood Restaurant. Well to our surprise it was decorated quite "unique" ;) {which is something we discover a lot} There was Christmas Ornaments hanging from the ceiling. Maybe that came from the word "Jolly" in the name haha. And the waiters were dressed in pirate uniforms, no lie. haha. But needless to say the seafood was really good!

When we left "Jolly Roger" we realized we had missed our 4 o'clock ferry back to knotts island. So we decided to take the scenic route back home! We drove through a little more of the outer banks and drove through Elisabeth City!. One interesting part of our journey we went over "aligator river" once we got of the bridge we saw a caution sign that stated: "Watch for Bears next 20 or so Miles." a few miles later we saw another sign that said "Watch for Red Wolfs." I told Michael lets hope and pray our car makes it because if it doesn't we may get attacked by 1 of 3 animals; an alligator, a bear or a red wolf. haha. After a long 3hour drive we made it back to Virginia Beach in one piece!;)

Much Love!<3
