Trip To The Outerbanks 8.18.12

For our date a few Saturdays ago we decided to go to the Outerbanks of NC! We first took a 45minute ferry from Knotts Island, VA to Currituck, NC. When we arrived in Currituck we decided to drived toward the Outerbanks. On our way there we noticed a lot of people traveling down but not coming back out so it must be a great place to visit;)

We stopped in Kill Devil Hills for lunch. So like we always do, we decided to eat some where local not something we could just eat anywhere. So we stop at "Jolly Roger" a intown Seafood Restaurant. Well to our surprise it was decorated quite "unique" ;) {which is something we discover a lot} There was Christmas Ornaments hanging from the ceiling. Maybe that came from the word "Jolly" in the name haha. And the waiters were dressed in pirate uniforms, no lie. haha. But needless to say the seafood was really good!

When we left "Jolly Roger" we realized we had missed our 4 o'clock ferry back to knotts island. So we decided to take the scenic route back home! We drove through a little more of the outer banks and drove through Elisabeth City!. One interesting part of our journey we went over "aligator river" once we got of the bridge we saw a caution sign that stated: "Watch for Bears next 20 or so Miles." a few miles later we saw another sign that said "Watch for Red Wolfs." I told Michael lets hope and pray our car makes it because if it doesn't we may get attacked by 1 of 3 animals; an alligator, a bear or a red wolf. haha. After a long 3hour drive we made it back to Virginia Beach in one piece!;)

Much Love!<3
Leslie
